1. The fingerprinting process usually takes 10–15 minutes. However, please allow extra time for wait times or paperwork.

Most Live Scan results are returned within 2 to 7 business days, but it can vary depending on:

Results are sent directly to the requesting agency, not to you. Contact the agency or employer that requested the background check for status updates.

If your fingerprints are rejected due to poor quality, you will need to retake them at no additional cost (if it's a DOJ rejection). Most providers will reprint for free with proof of rejection.

Only if you are requesting it for yourself through a Personal Record Review. If your employer or agency requested it, only they will receive the results.
